| The
first Junior Eurovision Song Contest will take place in Copenhagen
on 15 November 2003.
The purpose of the Contest is to promote young talent in
the field of popular music, by encouraging competition among
the child artists.
All contestants must be aged 8 to 15 years old on the day
of their national final. They must have written and composed
their song themselves, with no professional help.
16 countries will take part in the two-hour show, representing
Belarus, Belgium, Croatia, Denmark, FYR Macedonia, Poland,
Greece, Latvia, Malta, Netherlands, Norway, Romania, Slovakia,
Spain, Sweden, and the UK.
The Famous international acts Sugababes and Busted will
perform on scene.
The result will be decided by international televoting.
