The Eurovision TV Department of the European Broadcasting Union is in charge of TV programmes and multimedia, serving 85 broadcasters in 56 countries. Eurovision TV provides Members and the industry with major public events, outstanding networking opportunities and a wide range of successful international coproductions.

NETWORKING OPPORTUNITIES 

  • All level of Management
    Eurovision TV brings together heads of programmes and young filmmakers, producers from all categories and slot owners of all kinds at various venues and on various occasions everywhere in Europe.
  • Experts Groups
    Working in Drama? Commissioning Children programmes? In charge of entertainment slots? Extending content onto multiple platforms? Eurovision TV makes sure that peers meet peers in so-called experts groups and specialized meetings for a better experience sharing and developing cooperation across borders.
  • Eurovision TV Summit
    Eurovision TV Summit has become the world’s leading event for public service media professionals, a unique week for public service professional staff in all genres. It is a fi ne and clever mix of conferences, meetings of peers and shared opportunities for all. 

PUBLIC EVENTS 

  • Pitching Sessions
    Factual Pitching sessions are held every year by Eurovision TV alongside major festivals: Sheffi eld Doc/Fest, Sunny Side of the Doc and / or IDFA. The Eurovision pitching sessions are attended by over 50 commissioners from public service channels discussing more than 20 selected projects. 25 June 2012, Paris, France (next Documentary Pitching session)
  • Eurovision Creative Forum
    Eurovision Creative Forum is THE place for screening and exchanging the most innovative programme formats in all genres with public service content from Europe and beyond. Each year the event is attended by more than 140 participants (broadcasters and producers) and the 7 Best Formats are selected and celebrated.
  • TEDXTransmedia
    Eurovision TV has developed a new TED event, inviting thinkers, doers and ultimately dreamers to join in a discussion about shaping Meaningful Media through the opportunities provided by various transmedia techniques.

INTERNATIONAL COPRODUCTIONS
Eurovision TV assists public service broadcasters in developing strong international projects, coproductions and events across various genres and media. Independent producers, fi lmmakers and the whole industry naturally play a major role in all these projects.
