2006-2007 Master School on Radio features

The selection

14 young producers were selected coming from 11different countries and from 11 stations (RTE, RBB Germany, Polish Radio Lublin, Czech Radio, ORF Austria, Danish Broadcasting Corporation, Hungarian Radio, NRK Norway, Estonian radio, BBC, VRT Belgium).

The selection Committee met on 2 February in Brussels at the kind invitation of Edwin Brys, coordinator of the EBU Master School.

Laurent Marceau, Raina Konstantinova, EBU and Stephen Erickson, Helmut Kopetzky listened to all applications and had indicated their preferences to Nathalie Labourdette. The Selection Committee in Brussels was composed of Lisbeth Jessen (DR, Denmark), Hannu Karisto (YLE, Finland), Annick Lesage and Edwin Brys from VRT, Belgium and Nathalie Labourdette, EBU International Training, manager of EBU Master School.

28 applicants from 11 countries and 12 stations had submitted their applications, compared to 12 and 14 for the two previous editions of the Master Schools.

It was a delicate task to choose among these talented candidates and 14 young producers were chosen.
