EBU ARS ACUSTICA NEWSLETTER NO. 5 - 2007
No. 5- Radio -22 Mai 2007

Dear friends!

Spring and almost summer has come to Europe with heat! Yesterday we had a really hot and sunny day in Malmoe. Soon we will have the chance to meet each other again and continue our fruitful discussions about radio-art, sound-art and electronic music in Paris thanks to the kind invitation from our friends at Radio France. It will be two very intensive days in Paris with a lot of discussions around future co-operations but also the chance to listen to some new productions from around Europe. We will also have the time to enjoy some good French food, cheeses and wine and of course have the time for lot of laughter and informal talks as well.

Enclosed in this newsletter are news from around Europe regarding broadcasts, cds, audiowalks and competitions showing the vital world of ars acustica.

I recently got the message from our dear Hungarian friend and colleague Mr Istvan Szigeti about the plans to shut down the HEAR Studio of the Hungarian Radio and I immediately ran into action writing a letter to the General Director of Hungarian Radio Mr Gyorgy Such stating the importance of the HEAR Stduio for the creation of major productions in the world of ars acustica and electronic music and the loss for the whole international scene if the studio is closed. You can also send an email to Mr Gyorgy Such with your opinions: Such.Gyorgy@radio.hu

* 29 persons will attend our EBU Ars Acustica Specialized Meeting in Paris on the 14-15 June including Mr Pierre-Yves Tribolet and Mrs Uschi Preisig from EBU/Euroradio Classics.

* Please have a look in MUS for new offers from among others: ORF in Austria and Czech Radio.

Best Regards,

Erik Mikael Karlsson

below).

Please remember, that the deadline for entries will be soon: at Friday June

15th 2007 (arrival date).

For organisational reasons we prefer them to be sent to our office. But in

this year the deadline date will be when we meet in Paris; so - before you get

in a hurry - some of you might prefer to hand it out to me there.

For more details please look at the following information. It will be

helpful if you can use the attached entry form.
