| The Group's mission is to provide international broadcasters with a forum where they can discuss issues related to strategy, content, marketing and distribution.
The Group aims to keep Members abreast of all relevant technological developments as the internet and other digital technologies continue to expand the reach of traditional broadcasters. It fosters international cooperation through conferences, seminars and workshops, which additionally provide an opportunity for Members to take stock and to review the way in which they participate in broadcasting. A key task of the Group is to prepare an annual Specialized Meeting, to which EBU Active Members, Associate Members (members of other broadcasting unions) and other approved participants are invited.
