Mogens Munk Rasmussen, has been appointed chairman of the board of Danmarks Radio (DR), the country’s public broadcaster.

The new chairman is managing director and group chief executive of Nykredit, one of Denmark's main mortgage institutes. He succeeds Jørgen Kleener who resigned from the post on 11 October. 

One of his first tasks will be to hire a new director-general for DR to succeed Christian Nissen.
