Liselott Forsman has been appointed head of fiction at YLE Swedish programming. 

YLE Fiction will be a bimedia unit made up of the Swedish Radio Drama and Swedish TV Drama units. Liselott Forsman, 45, has a wide-ranging experience of radio and television drama and has been extensively involved in Nordvision, the alliance of public broadcasting organizations from the five Nordic countries, and the EBU's Fiction Experts Group.

Liselott Forsman will take office on 1 January 2005 when YLE Fiktion is set up following the merger of YLE's radio drama and TV drama unit. The name "YLE Fiktion" was chosen to avoid confusion with "YLE Draama", the Finnish-language drama section.
