Transmusicales Festival

Offered by Radio France/Le Mouv', the "Transmusicales" Festival was broadcast on Euroradio on Friday, 3 December and Saturday, 4 December. The festival is held every year in December, in Rennes, France.

Since its creation in 1979, the event is seen as a "rite of passage" for up-and-coming and promising artists, as well as legendary acts. Transmusicales' organizers are renowned for choosing the type of artists who are truly breaking new ground and they have earned a solid reputation in achieving this since the festival's inception.

The satellite broadcast featured the Beastie Boys among many others. The following 18 EBU Member organizations took up the offer: RSR (Switzerland), NDR (Germany), RUV (Iceland), RTBF (Belgium), NPB (Netherlands), YLE (Finland), ERSL (Luxemburg), SR (Slovakia), DR (Denmark), BNR (Bulgaria), SR (Sweden), YLE (Finland), DLRB (Germany), WDR (Germany), VRT (Belgium), RNE (Spain), RTE (Ireland), JSBH (Bosnia-Herzegovina).
