EBU International Training is organising
together with the EBU Technical Department the annual seminar on
Production Technology, internationally known as the PMC
Seminar, wigh will take place from 18-20 January 2005 at
EBU Headquarters in Geneva.
Capitalising on the success of last year' PMC seminar, the 2005
edition will concentrate on fully IT-based production systems. Case
studies, exchange of best practices, a vendors forum and
interactive demonstrations will flesh out the programme's content,
giving participants the chance to view and test the latest
technology on the market for themselves.
Key issues such as increasing cost pressures on production, a
growing demand for access services, integrating different vendors'
IT systems in television and audio production and the soaring
importance of High Definition will be tackled during this intensive
three-day seminar.
Pioneers and early adopters will be presenting their points of
view and reports on the state of play of Production Technology from
a corporate perspective. EBU experts will present their activities
and latest research in that field, and will generate platforms for
discussion with participants, guiding them through questions
