Macedonian Radio and Television celebrates its 60th Anniversary on 28th December this year. 

Macedonian Radio and Television is a national broadcasting organization covering the whole territory of  Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia.

Macedonian Radio began broadcasting in the Macedonian language on 28th December 1944. Macedonian Television began broadcasting on 14th December 1964.

MKRTV, leaded by its Director General, Gordana Stosic, has launched its reorganisation. It is also in the process of moving from state control to become a public broadcasting service

MKRTV has been active member of EBU since 1993.
