Junior Eurovision Song Contest 

The fourth edition of the Junior Eurovision Song Contest will take place in Bucharest (Romania) on 2 December 2006, hosted by TVR. The live broadcast will take place at 19:15 – 21:30 GMT (20:15 – 22:30 CET and 21:15 – 23:30 local time in Bucharest).

In total, 18 countries will broadcast the song contest, 15 of them are taking part of the contest and 3 of them will only broadcast (Andorra RTVA, Bosnia-Herzegovina PBS BIH and Australia SBS).

The 15 participating countries in running order are as follows: Portugal (RTP), Cyprus (CyBC), the Netherlands (AVRO), the Host Broadcaster Romania (TVR), Ukraine (NTU), Spain (RTVE), Serbia (UJRT), Malta (MTPBS), FYR Macedonia (MKRTV), Sweden (TV4), Greece (ERT), Belarus (BTRC), Belgium (VRT), Croatia (HRT) and Russia (RTR).

The presenters of the JESC are Andreea Marin and Ioana Ivan from TVR. The result will be decided by international televoting.

All contestants must be aged 8 to 15 years old on the day of their national final. They must have written and composed their song themselves, with no professional help.
