2007 Eurosonic Festival   

The 2007 Eurosonic Festival (www.noorderslag.nl) is taking place on 11 and 12 January 2007 in Groningen (The Netherlands). 

The following 25 EBU broadcasting organizations will be supporting 28 acts to perform at the Festival: ORF/FM4 (Austria), VRT/Studio Brussel (Belgium), BNR (Bulgaria), CR (Czech Republic), DR/P3 (Denmark), ER (Estonia), YLE X (Finland), Radio France/Le Mouv' (France), ARD (Germany), MR (Hungary), RUV/RAS2 (Iceland), RAI Radio 2 (Italy), RTE/2FM (Ireland), ERSL/100.7 (Luxemburg), TRM (Moldova), NPB/3FM (Netherlands), NRK/P3 (Norway), PR (Poland), RDP/Antena 3 (Portugal), SKSR/Radio FM (Slovakia), SER/Los 40 Principales (Spain), SR/P3 (Sweden), DRS3 (Switzerland), RSR/Couleur3 (Switzerland), BBC/Radio 1/United Kingdom (United Kingdom).

A double non-commercial CD compilation of the selected artists/bands has just been released and is being distributed to EBU member organizations as well as professionals attending the Festival. 

In the meantime, please also note that all the songs are available on line at: www.eurosonic.net where you can listen to them and you may even want to rate them!

NPB/Netherlands, VRT/Belgium, ARD-WDR/Germany, DR/Denmark and SR/Sweden will collaborate technically for the production of the recordings to be broadcast on the Euroradio network. A special EBU presentation will once again be held. It will take place on Friday, 12 January at 15.00/16.00. 

The main theme will be: "The Future of Music and Media".
