Multimedia Meets Radio 09

More than 120 new media professionals from EBU Member organizations are gathering in Prague on 5th and 6th March for this year's edition of Multimedia Meets Radio, hosted by Czech Radio. Michael Mullane (Chairman) and Vaclav Kasik (DG Czech Radio) opened the conference yesterday and welcomed participants, whose attention was captivated by the pertinence of topics as of the first session. 

Special guest speakers at MMR09 include Adam Bowie (Head of Strategy & Planning, Absolute Radio), Steve Purdham (CEO, We7), Steve Pratt (Director, CBC Radio 3) and Jonas Woost (Head of Music, Last.fm).

Topics on the agenda include the future of music online, interacting with audiences and thinking multiplatform. MMR09 will also present some of the best new media projects by EBU Radio Members. 

MMR is the  only EBU event that looks at new audiences, new platforms and new opportunities for radio. It provides a unique opportunity for Members to discuss solutions to the challenges facing broadcasters today.

MMR is an interactive event with a focus on exchanging ideas, finding opportunities for cooperation and on understanding the future of digital media. Typical participants include new media managers, webmasters, business developers, technology experts and content-makers.
