The 63rd Ordinary Session of the EBU General Assembly is taking place this afternoon and tomorrow here in Geneva.

Highlights of this Assembly will include:

• Election of a new Vice-President following the resignation of Richard Sambrook of the BBC;
• Election of a member of the Executive Board to take over the seat vacated by Luis Fernàndez following his resignation as President of RTVE;
• Presentation of the Special Assistance Project for Members;
• A professional discussion on the subject of Hybrid Broadcast Broadband, which will include a panel discussion with participants from Members and NBC/Universal.   

The General Assembly will also bid farewell to Jean Réveillon and Bjørn Erichsen, both of whom will be leaving at the end of the year.
