EBU's Swiss Member hosts major conference on investigative journalism

Radio Télévision Suisse(RTS), the French-speaking part of SRG SSR idée Suisse, will be hosting the 6th Global Investigative Journalism Conference on 22-25 April.

The conference aims to enable investigative journalists from around the world to exchange their experiences, tips and professional practice in a strictly non-academic way focusing on the « how to do » and « need to know ».

These exchanges will be organised in a series of panels, conferences, round tables and workshops over the four-day period. Each evening will be devoted to informal networking.  Close to 600 reporters generally attend the event, from veteran investigative reporters working for prestigious outlets, to young talents from various places around the globe.

There is still time to register for the conference which has a rich and varied programme with a team of 150 specialist speakers, leading over a hundred panel debates including keynote speaker Seymour Hersch from the New Yorker, Spanish antiterrorist judge Baltazar Garzon and William Karel, internationally-renowned film director of investigative documentaries, such as “The World According to Bush”. Other speakers include heads of international media organisations such as Stéphane Haumant from Canal + and Norman Pearlstine from Bloomberg Television.
