All about the Eurovision TV Summit 2010

The largest summit for European public service media took place in Lucerne, Switzerland, 19-23 April. Due to travel chaos caused by the volcanic ash cloud, the TV Summit was shorted by 2 days.

The fourth Summit nevertheless provided unique opportunities for networking through its inspiring, informative expert and programme meetings and conferences on the latest trends, new projects, opportunities and issues in public service media.

On Thursday, the Common Focus day, the opening keynote speech was delivered by the EBU’s new Director General, Ingrid Deltenre. She highlighted the need for public service media to invest in quality, innovate and develop a dialogue with the audience. She assured Members that the EBU is committed to helping them “make the good popular and the popular good” .
