France Télévisions and EBU to extend cooperation
|

At a meeting in Paris last week attended by senior staff from
France 2, France 3 and the EBU, all parties agreed to extend their
existing cooperation over the coming months.
Jean Réveillon, Deputy Director General of France 3 and EBU
Vice-President, pointed out that the EBU and France Télévisions had
a remarkable track record working together in the sector of
children's animation. He was also very impressed by the diversity and depth of the
programmes on offer by the EBU TV Department, which he felt should
be further explored. In particular, he proposed to involve the
regional outlets of France 3 even more.  | |
During the meeting Philippe Landré, Deputy Director of
Programmes at France 2, also confirmed that France 2 would
participate in the "Rolling Stones Live" event and
documentary to be broadcast over the Eurovision network . At the close of the meeting Bjørn Erichsen, the EBU TV Director,
took the opportunity to extend an invitation to all of the regional
directors of France 3 to visit the EBU in the autumn, which Jean
Réveillon accepted.
