The 24th EBU International Folk Festival took place this weekend in Norway in the scope of the Førde festival (http://www.fordefestival.no/), one of the most important folk and roots music festivals in Europe. 

16 EBU Member Organizations supported a band/artist to perform at the Festival: LR/Latvia, BTRC/Belarus, WDR/Germany, DLRB/Germany, RDO-VOR/Russia, RNE/Spain, CR/Czech Republic, NRCU/Ukraine, RR/Romania, DR/Denmark, NRK/Norway, SR/Sweden, YLE/Finland, PR/Poland, VRT/Belgium, HRT/Croatia. 

An EBU Folk Producers plenary meeting hosted by NRK was held on Saturday, 05 July. It was an opportunity to elect the new EBU Folk and Traditional Music Project Group:
