DAB: United Kingdom: Ford selects DAB

Ford dealers in the United Kingdom are now selling vehicles fitted with DAB digital radio receivers.
Annika Nyberg, President of the World DAB Forum, greeted the move as "one of the most important developments in DAB Digital Radio".
Ford is inviting car-buyers to call at their local Ford dealers to gain first-hand experience of DAB in-car radio on vehicles equipped with the Blaupunkt Woodstock DAB 52 receiver. The car giant is offering the installation of DAB receivers as an after-fit in all its UK models and can also install them in most makes of car.
For the World DAB Forum president, "Ford’s commitment to DAB Digital Radio is a major milestone in the widespread proliferation and adoption of the DAB system. I am confident that others will follow its lead. Following the successful Christmas sales of in-home DAB digital radios - when almost every product on the shelves was sold in the UK - this gives the DAB bandwagon further momentum," Annika Nyberg added.
