The EBU Television Department has a stand at MipTV in Cannes from 24 to 28 March 2003.

On Monday, the TV Department organized a screening to present dozens of programmes and ongoing projects highlighting the new look for Young Dancers and Young Musicians, a new animation series Pitt & Kantrop, and Midnight Circus, which is a pool of entertainment programme segments to be exchanged during 2004. As a backdrop to the continuing war in Iraq, a new current affairs programme was also unveiled in Cannes: What the World Thinks of America (negotiated as an EBU coproduction), which will be presented by the BBC and made available to broadcasters worldwide.

Tuesday is Eurovision day. A new Junior Eurovision Song Contest and plans for a brand new format for the adult Eurovision Song Contest were outlined at an international press conference.

Plans for the rest  of the week include broadcaster promotions, new format presentations and Member receptions on the EBU stand.
