Bjørn Erichsen, Director of the TV Department at the EBU,
started by answering the question "Has the TV
Department performed according to the business plan
2002–05?" Frank Dieter Freiling followed-up with a
presentation on the strategies, objectives and targets for the
business plan 2003–06. The last session of the meeting was about "How to
make science popular on TV?", which was illustrated by
eight successful science programmes. The speakers were: Daniele
Jörg (ARD/WDR), Steve Hocking (BBC), Jean-Noël Dibie (France 3),
Stas Gawronski (RAI), Helen Rundgren (UR), Frank Symoens (VRT).  | | Marija Nemcic, new Chairwoman of the TV Committee with her predecessor Bob Collins (RTE) on her left, and Bjørn Erichsen, EBU |
At the end of the proceedings, Marija Nemcic, Head of International
Relations (Radio & TV), HRT, was elected Chairwoman of the TV
Committee by 528 votes out of 972.
