Over 80 representatives of EBU Members are
attending the Legal Committee's 96th session at the Union's
headquarters in Geneva on 14-15 April.
The session is the first chaired
by Jane Vizard (BBC), following her election
last October. The Committee's four Vice-Chairmen are Maria Rosaria
Monaco (RAI), Rick van den Dolder (NL/NPB), Krzysztof Wojciechowski
(PRT/TVP) and Peter Weber (ZDF).
The Committee's agenda features a wide range of topical legal
issues, including the review of the Television without Frontiers
Directive, GATS, the draft Convention on cultural diversity, sports
rights, Rome II, copyright and social dialogue.
