The 114th meeting of the Administrative
Council will be held in Thessaloniki on 15 and 16 May 2003, at the
invitation of ERT.
The Council meeting will open with a speech
on European audiovisual issues by the Greek government.
This will be followed by the report of the
EBU President, news from the Chairmen of the Committees, and the
study groups (Digital Strategy Group and Public Policy Planning
Group).

After a presentation on the preparations
for the 2004 Olympic Games, the Administrative Council will discuss
future meetings, including the:

| The 54th General Assembly of the EBU.
The meeting will take place in Stockholm on 4 and 5 July 2003 at
the kind invitation of SVT, SR and UR. The agenda is expected to
include an item to mark the 10th anniversary of the EBU and the
OIRT merger. Vice-President Bergant will outline plans for this
agenda point in session.
The Assembly agenda is also expected to
include a professional discussion on the advance of digital in both
radio and television. The Secretaries General of the North American
Broadcasters' Association (NABA) and the Asia-Pacific Broadcasting
Union (ABU) will be invited to make presentations on the situations
in their regions of the world. |
