France 2 has unveiled a state-of-the-art extranet tool, called
"webdo", which will allow journalists to have
access to schedules and to search for programming
details.
"This
advanced interactive tool - under development for more than a year
- uses a database fed automatically with programming
details."
Béatrice Andurand, Head of
Communications
Weekly schedules will become available to
journalists on Tuesday already instead of Thursday which has been
the case up to now for the paper version. This interactive tool,
which will also include a powerful search engine, will give
journalists access to full programming as well as contact
details.
By next June, "webdo" will
permit journalists to consult entire press packs as well as press
releases and to download photos to illustrate TV magazines.
The database
will also be used by the service dealing with queries from
viewers.
