Radio Committee

The 24th Ordinary Meeting of the Radio Committee took place in Geneva on 23 January 2003.

Opening the meeting, Committee Chairman Nicholas Kenyon commented on radio activities in 2002. A number of committees and groups (television, technical, TTI, new media, legal, finance and training) presented reports.

Current activities of the Radio Department's Euroradio/Classique, Eurosonic/Radio Plus, News and Sports sections, as well as developments concerning the website were also reviewed.

The SIS outlined the main points of its report on radio and a summary of F. Bollmann's paper on the multimedia challenges to radio programmes was presented to the Committee.

The agenda of the following meetings was also discussed:

  • 2003 Radio Assembly
  • 2003 Radio seminars/workshops/conferences/festivals
  • 2003 RNE Rencontre
  • Pan-European Day of Culture on Radio
