Gaby Rado (ITN) found dead

Tony Naets sends condolences to Stewart Purvis.

We have learned with sadness the news about Channel Four’s Foreign Affairs correspondent, Gaby Rado.  It is a shock to all of us here and we share the loss felt by our colleagues at ITN and ITN Channel Four (...) Gaby’s death reminds us all of the very difficult conditions under which the men and women in the Gulf work to bring information to their audiences, and that the risks they run are not limited to the risks of war.

On behalf of my colleagues and the staff at the European Broadcasting Union and Eurovision, please accept our condolences for this new loss at ITN.

Sincerely,

Tony Naets
Head, Eurovision News Services
