But just what was it that made young Europeans take to the streets in spring 1968? Was it all just sex, drugs and rock ’n’ roll? 5. The Most Important Rule (RAI/Italy)
"The most important rule", is located in the early 90's in Italy, and tells the story of "Clean Hands", an investigation and series of trials concerning political corruption which would lead to the crack down of the most important political parties in the country.

7. Homosexuals on the Barricades; the struggle continues (Teleac/Not-Netherlands)
The Gay Movement, one of the most powerful social movements in the nation’s recent history, started its struggle after the introduction of discriminatory legislation at the beginning of the last century until, finally, it led to gay marriage. But it must take up the gauntlet again: the present generation of homosexual youngsters is facing a diminishing tolerance from the ranks of their heterosexual peers. The struggle continues.

Sweden is generally considered to be world leading when it comes to equality between men and women. This situation was reached during the seventies, when the position of women was strengthened through a series of political reforms. But it wasn’t the (mostly male) politicians’ keen devotion to equality issues that made it possible for “the Swedish model” to be realized.

11. Environmental Chains (YLE/Finland)
Since the late 1970’s, Finnish environmental movement has taken to civil disobedience and defended forests and lakes by building dams, climbing up and chaining themselves to trees singled out for felling. The environmental movement has given birth to a political party that has taken environmental issues to Parliament.
