The EBU Special Assistance Project was established in June 2009 to reinforce support for Members of the Union encountering deep difficulties – political, financial, technical or other – at a time of rapid technological change. Within this framework, the new EBU Special Assistance Scholarship scheme will support high-potential professionals facing challenges in management, content and technology. This scheme is funded by the Network Media Programme of the Open Society Foundation, with EBU Members providing in-kind contributions.
