Mastering your message: media skills for international institutions

2-day Master class. 
Starting time: Day 1 at 9.00 a.m. 
Ending time: Day 2 at 17.30
 

Target audience 

- Directors, deputies and country directors. 
- Program coordinators, chief technical officers and experts. 
- Public information specialists. 

What outcome for you    

- Review practical methods and tools to express complex topics clearly to non-technical audiences, including the news media and the general public 
-Learn to identify key elements in programs, initiatives and complex technical topics that inspire specific target audiences 
- Go through techniques to brainstorm and create effective press releases that attract interest from news organizations 
-Identify methods to find compelling storylines in project documents and reports 

Registration fee    

1080€/participant

Price includes course material, coffee breaks, 1 lunch. It does not include: travel costs, hotel.

Trainer

Eric May

Eric is an Emmy Award winning media advisor and trainer for international development agencies, science, and news organizations.   

 

Eric has worked with hundreds of people in more than 30 countries, helping them understand audiences and tell stories better. His many clients include the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR), the International Labour Organization, the European Union, the European Parliament, USAID and dozens of national broadcasters.   

Eric is a documentary filmmaker, a former news executive for CBS television stations, and a lecturer at Stanford University and the University of Freiburg in Germany.
