This decision should be based on a broad understanding of the financial, technical, workflow and aesthetical issues involved.

To inform film and broadcasting professionals about the aesthetic potential and characteristics of digital film production, HD technology and digital work flows.
To enable decision-makers to base their investment decisions concerning new technology on a detailed understanding of the complex digital production work flows.
To establish the relevance of digital technologies for a film school’s curriculum and to help teaching staff to assess the impact of digitalisation on film school facilities and curricula.
To enhance the marketability of participants on the job market through specialist knowledge on digital production processes.
To help build an international community of HDTV and D-Cinema experts.
To offer a platform for networking between participants, trainers and the media industry of Berlin-Brandenburg during and after the course.

Description

INSIGHT OUT / HFF Academy is a MEDIA-funded symposium on digital production in film and television. It takes place for the sixth year.

The entire digital production chain will be covered from pre-production, camera to post and distribution. Special focus topics this year are digital workflows and film sound in the era of digital production. The focus on stereoscopic 3D production was so successful in 2009, that stereo 3D will remain an important item in the 2010 edition.

The training programme offers a mixture between lectures by well-known experts in Digital cinema and HDTV, case studies, hands-on workshops and company visits. As many participants come to INSIGHT OUT with their own projects of a digital production in mind, we are offering individual project consulting sessions with one of our experts.   Receive personal advice regarding digital workflow options and their budget implications.
