Cafe Sonore is a weekly late night radio program, produced by VPRO Radio (one of the broadcasters of Dutch National Radio). The first broadcast was on 3th of September 2002. 
The main focus of the program is ‘extreme repertoire’ such as experimental jazz, soundart, electroacoustic music and radio art. Often the program is dedicated to a theme/subject such as a festival, a composer, a record label, etc. 
Besides the actual radioprogram, Cafe Sonore can be found on the internet as an ongoing stream of blogpostings with reviews on new releases, announcements of music related events, stand alone Ars Acustica features and all kind of found footage related to the music focus of Café Sonore.
