More than 350 delegates have registered for the 2nd Asia-Pacific and Europe Media Dialogue which will take place in Bonn from 3-5 September.
The title of the conference is 'Millennium Development Goals & the Media' and will include contributions from many high-ranking speakers in a total of 12 sessions over two days:
Day 1 - Monday 3rd September
Session 1: Opening: Media and development
Session 2: It's all about access - Globalisation, international broadcasting and regulation.
Session 3: Serving the public with media
Session 4: What on earth is happening
Session 5: Next generation's network - accessing the archives
Day 2 - Tuesday 4th September
Session 6: It's not a clash between Christian and Islamic civilizations
Session 7: If the future is female, then kids win too!
Session 8: Which role can media play in fighting stereotypes and discrimination?
Session 9: The magic to come - enabling conversations
Session 10: Making media sustainable
Session 11: Radio in the podcasting era
Session 12: Drawing conclusions - Marrying the Millennium Development Goals with the media
Participants from the EBU include EBU Director General Jean Réveillon, EBU President Fritz Pleitgen, EBU Spokesman and Head of Governance David Lewis and Head of New Media David Wood.
