On 20 September, 55 marketers and communication professionals participated in a one-day seminar on Marketing & Radio on how to build value and strengthen brands. The aim was to understand the challenges facing radio stations and how targeted marketing can help reposition them. A network of EBU radio marketers shared best practises and tools on radio marketing and debated on the topic of market intelligence.

Fourteen speakers from the BBC, Cadena SER, RAI, RTE, VRT, ORF, Couleur 3, BNR, SR and the EBU contributed to four sessions:
- Current radio brands and the challenges ahead
- How do we celebrate our heritage without looking old and tired?
- Trendy, sexy brands for public service
- The transition from marketing radio to marketing audio

The fifty-five participants were from Radio Tirana, RTBF, VRT, Czech radio, Danish radio, Estonian radio, YLE, Bayerisher Rundfunk, WDR, Latvian radio, SNRT (Moroccan Radio), RTP, Radio Romania, Slovak Radio, Slovenian Radio, Swedish Radio, RSR, SRDRS.
