Romanian Parliament recently validated the candidacy of Alexandru Sassu as President Director General of Romanian Television, for a four-year mandate.

Alexandru Sassu        

For the last three months he has held the position of interim director general of Romanian Television.  Alexandru Sassu was born on October 26, 1955 and graduated the Faculty of Electronics and Telecommunications at the Technical Institute, in Bucharest. 

He was deputy in three legislatures, in the period from 1992 to 2004. Alexandru Sassu was a member in the Commission of culture, art and mass-media of the Chamber of Deputies, as well as secretary and vice-president of this commission.
