Christoph Dosch elected chairman of ITU broadcast standards group
At its Radiocommunication Assembly in Geneva on 18 October the International Telecommunications Union (ITU) elected one of the most active engineers in broadcast technology today as chairman of the study group for broadcasting standards.
Christoph Dosch has taken part in and headed many EBU and ITU activities over more than 30 years, and his appointment in recognition of his major contribution to broadcasting was supported by the EBU.
The appointment is for a four-year term, and Christoph will put all his energy into managing the future activities of the ITU in new technologies such as high definition television and mobile television.
