Phil Laven, former Technical Director of the EBU, has been elected as the DVB Project's first Vice-Chairman at the recent Steering Board meeting.

Although Phil has retired as Technical Director, his work with the DVB Project will continue to be supported by the EBU. Over the coming months Phil will work closely with Theo Peek, who is due to retire as DVB Chairman in June of next year.

8th Steering Board of the DVB Project was also elected at the General Assembly and will meet for the first time on 14 February 2008.
