EBU Director General Ingrid Deltenre has accepted an invitation from the heads of UNESCO and the International Telecommunication Union to become a founding Commissioner of the Broadband Commission for Digital Development.

The multi-stakeholder initiative will promote the potential of high-speed broadband networks to transform economies through content and connectivity. 

The Commission will meet in Geneva on 11 July and report to UN Secretary General in September.
