EBU International Training Unit

Hege Dahl Hege Dahl, one of the participants in the 2002-03 course on radio documentary organized by the EBU International Training Unit has been awarded the Prix Europa for best radio documentary in 2003.

The young producer working for NRK (Norwegian Broadcasting Corporation) won this prestigious radio prize with Nanna og Mama that tells the story of a 16-year-old girl who is trying to escape her mother’s clutche.

Edwin Brys (VRT), the editorial coordinator of the EBU course on radio documentary, presented her with the award: “We all knew that this training course, lasting more than a year, provided exceptional added value to these young radio producers. For Hege, and for all of us, the Prix Europa is direct recognition of the high quality of her work and of ours”.
