Everything is in place at the control room of International Sports Broadcasting (ISB), the TV production and broadcasting company contracted by the Salt Lake City Organisation Committee to serve as the host broadcaster for the 2002 Winter Olympic Games.

ISB control centre

The ISB control centre itself is located within the international transmission facility, in close proximity to the EBU Operations Group who are responsible for providing ISB's live images to EBU members over the Eurovision network's 38 digital channels.

Fernando PardoFernando Pardo, Head of EBU Sports Operations. Pardo, who normally operates out of the EBU base in Madrid, heads an 80-strong team in SLC. This group supports the 2300 staff and crew of the various EBU members covering the Olympic event. The group is also tasked with providing around 35 hours of daily coverage, transmitted to Europe via eight different satellites.

Daniele Cohen, another member of the EBU's Salt Lake City group that is ensuring live images of the Olympics reach their destined 700 million viewers in and around Europe.
