Euroradio in America

For the first time the five Euroradio members in the United States of America gather together and discuss with EBU staff the details of music exchange and how to improve relations. The US members are NPR (Washington DC), APM (St-Paul, Minnesota), WFMT (Chicago), NYPR  (New York) and WGBH (Boston).

The meeting on 6 December at NPR headquarters in Washington DC aims to a better coordination of the exchange of music , mostly classical and jazz. EBU offers their US Euroradio members the subscription to the Euroradio Season and Euroradio Summer Festivals offers. These festivals present about 500 world class concerts. Another subject on the agenda is the question in which extend US radio formats are suitable for European radios.
