EBU Journalism Summit @ Prix Italia
This high-level summit on the future of journalism is produced by Eurovision Media Strategy for the Prix Italia.
Distinguished speakers will include RAI President Anna Maria Tarantola, EBU President Jean-Paul Philippot, France Télévisions President and CEO Rémy Pflimlin, Swedish Radio Director-General Cilla Benkö, BBC Deputy Director of News and Current Affairs Fran Unsworth, 'Corriere della Sera' Editor Ferruccio de Bortoli, Euronews Director of News and Programmes Lucian Sarb, RAI News 24 Director Monica Maggioni and EBU Media Director Annika Nyberg Frankenhaeuser. They will look at the challenges to public service journalism sparked by the disruptive power of the internet and the proliferation of connected devices.
The conference will attempt to answer the question of why the public should trust public service media in a digital, multimedia age when news is available from a wide variety of sources.
