Eurovision Song Contest Workshop

For the second time, the EBU’s Eurovision Song Contest team will organize a workshop as part of the 2014 Eurovision Creative Days in Berlin, 15–18 Sept 2014.

During the workshop, the EBU team and Members will examine two key topics in detail:

The best synergy between your commentator and the show and What does it take to host a great Eurovision Song Contest in a financially sustainable way?

The best synergy between your commentator and the show

During this session former Eurovision Song Contest producers, commentators and other experts present various ways for your commentators to make the most of the show's content and fulfil their crucial role of presenting the event to the viewers.

Target group

This session is aimed at heads of delegation and commentators but is also valuable for heads of Entertainment and other TV executives.

What does it take to host a great Eurovision Song Contest in a financially sustainable way?

Hosting the Eurovision Song Contest is a great honour, but also an enormous challenge. How does the EBU support the host broadcaster to keep the ship on course throughout the year leading up to the event? What does it take financially to host the contest, and how can you keep costs under control? Former executive producers and the EBU team will provide insight into the process behind the scenes.
