This will be the first meeting of the International Broadcasting Assembly. The committee was officially formed at the last EBU General Assembly (December 2015).
It aims at serving as a platform for all EBU members that transmit internationally (TV, radio and online) to network with peers and identify areas of mutual support, assistance and knowledge. The aim is to ensure that together they can act in the common interest of public service media.
Topics for this assembly will include, among others, an update on the situation of the members, discussions about cyber attacks, digital radio, Europe’s refugee crisis. The EBU Media Intelligence Service will also present the results of its survey about international broadcasting.
Elections for Chairman and up to 6 committee members will be held. The event is kindly being hosted by France Médias Monde.
