Global Constructive Journalism Conference

The world’s biggest conference on constructive journalism will bring together reporters, editors, media executives, scientists and politicians at Aarhus University on 26 & 27 October 2017.

Participants will be discussing the role of the news media and journalists in modern day democracies. They will get a chance to hear about the data behind the latest research; become familiar with the best practices in constructive journalism; and debate the impact of media on human progress.

The Director General of United Nations, Michael Moeller, will give a keynote at the event. Other speakers will include Steven Pinker, Professor of Psychology at Harvard University; Nils Hanson, Head of Investigative Unit at Swedish Television and David Boardman, Dean of the School of Media and Communication at Temple University.

Participants will also hear from the BBC, TV2 Denmark, Swedish Radio, Minneapolis Star Tribune, and others about their practical experience with constructive journalism.

The conference is generously co-hosted by Google, the European Broadcasting Union, Aarhus University and the City of Aarhus.
