Copyright Cafe: When is embedding or framing lawful ?

As EBU Members will provide more of their content online, and given the need to inform the public on related news in other European countries, which are both stimulated by the current pandemic crisis, the technique of “embedding” or “framing” content which is available on 3rd party websites will become more popular as a means to assemble such content. However, this method raises important questions of copyright and other forms of legal protection which are not always easy to answer. The meeting will therefore allow an in-depth discussion among copyright experts to elaborate common views on which practices would be most appropriate for PSM.
