Copyright Special Workshop "Social Media and Platforms"

This session will describe the basic copyright rules for EBU Members publishing their content on (online) social media and similar content-sharing platforms, including as to what will change in this context under Art. 17 DSM Copyright Directive of 2019, once this provision is implemented into national law in 2021. It will further provide an opportunity to hear from Members how they have succeeded in covering the music rights clearance for their content on such platforms through contractual arrangements with their local collecting societies.
