Gender equality is a top priority for a growing number of public service broadcasters. According to recent data from the EBU’s Media Intelligence Survey, 63% of EBU Members have active gender equality initiatives, as part of their organization’s diversity, equity and inclusion strategy.
It is widely agreed that promoting gender equality is part of the public service media (PSM) remit. Numerous studies show that businesses with gender diversity perform better, with higher levels of creativity, innovation and higher returns.
