A European Perspective Social Media Experts Workshop

Social Media experts from EBU Members convene for a workshop on the social media presence of the "A European Perspective" project.

‘A European Perspective’ is a pan-European networked newsroom. Journalists add their stories to a Digital News Hub, where they are translated into multiple languages using the EBU's own AI-assisted translation tool. Editors across the continent can then select the most relevant stories for their audiences and publish them immediately on their websites and apps. This offers viewers trusted news from public service broadcasters. It expands perspectives and builds cross-cultural understanding.

Launched in July 2021, “A European Perspective” responds to surging demand for trusted news against conspiracy-fuelled disinformation campaigns and populist rhetoric.

“A European Perspective” is hosted by public service media from Belgium (RTBF), Estonia (ERR), Lithuania (LRT.lt), Finland (Yle), France (France Télévisions), Germany (BR-ARD), Ireland (RTÉ), Portugal (RTP), Spain (RTVE), Sweden (SR), Switzerland (SWI swissinfo.ch) as well as ARTE, the Franco-German broadcaster; in collaboration with the Constructive Institute from Denmark and Agence France Presse (AFP).
