Content Regulation Group: Scope and graduated regulation

During this meeting we will further discuss the scope of the Audiovisual Media Services Directive, with a particular focus on whether the Directive’s scope should cover new types of services such as media platforms. We will also discuss the current tiered approach to regulation, where the most stringent rules are applied to broadcasting services and the less stringent rules are applied to on-demand audiovisual media services or video-sharing platform services.
