The Promise of the EU
This event to be held in Rome on 12 and 13 September, aims to highlight the importance of European cultural integration and the strategic role played by media in completing this integrating process. The event is organised in the framework of the Project "The Promise of the EU" during the Italian Presidency of the Council of the European Union, by the Department of the European Policies of the Presidency of the Council of Ministers of the Italian Republic and the European Commission. The project will examine three major questions: How much unity do Union citizens want and what are the areas where integration should take place? What would make the EU more democratic? What is the overall expectation of the Union's citizens? The outcomes of this project intend to help the European Union Institutions' policy-making. Italy's Ministry of Economic Development, RAI, European Broadcasting Union (EBU), Fondazione MAXXI and FormezPA are partners in the event. The event is invitation only. More information available at the FormezPA website.
